OUR TEAM

Meet our talented team of instructors at Champion Dance & Cheer.  Our pupils are taught by specialist coaches and benefit from their expertise and enthusiasm. Focused on teaching exceptional technique and creating unforgettable experiences, our team is committed to our athletes enjoyment and success.
Our staff are fully qualified, first aid qualified, PVG members to provide a safe learning environment.  We are also fully insured.  Champion Dance & Cheer Allstars are members of Sportcheer Scotland, United States Allstar Federation (USASF) and the International Allstar Federation (IASF).  All our Cheer staff are credentialed to level appropriate standards for the teams they are coaching with the USASF (United States Allstar Federation) and or the ICU (International Cheer Union)
Our staff are all home grown at CDC and have been raised in our team culture and morale.  We are super proud of the coaches and choreographers they have became under our instruction at CDC.

LISA TAUSNEY

Director and Head Coach

Lisa, is the founder and program director of CDC.  Lisa is responsible for the overall running of all classes and competitive teams she has the main input in choreography and techniques taught. Lisa has an HND in Dance and has been in the Cheerleading industry for over 20 years.  Lisa started her career as an NFL Europe Cheerleader for the Scottish Claymores and is now the president of the national governing body for the sport, SportCheer Scotland.

STACY GREER

Cheer/Pom/Jazz/Lyrical/Hip Hop Coach

Stacy has been dancing for 27 years and has been a member of Champion Dance and Cheer for 17 years.  Stacy has represented Scotland at the cheer and dance Worlds for 10 years and is an original member of Team Scotland and now a member of the coaching staff for five years.  Stacy was the coach and choreographer for the first ever unified Team Scotland Senior Pom and continues in this role to this day. Stacy led Scotland’s National Team to a 7th place title in both 2018 & 2019 at the world championships in Florida. Stacy also coached our youth team who became the first ever junior team from the UK to attend USASF worlds in which they placed in the top 10. In 2019 Stacy also coached our Senior Black team gaining them 6th at worlds and 3rd in the Nations Cup. Stacy is a qualified cheer judge and has judged throughout Scotland as well as instructing camps to cheer teams throughout the UK.  Stacy also assists with the administration of Champion Dance and Cheer and also ACDC running cheer events throughout Scotland.  Stacy is the Education Director for Sportcheer Scotland as well as the only ICU Black medallion cheer examiner in Scotland.

JENNI GREER

Pom Coach

 For many years, Jennifer Greer has been an influential part of our program, Jenni joined Champion Dance and Cheer when we first opened our doors in August 2000 and has been a member of the coaching staff for 15 years. She has had the honour of representing her team and country at USASF and ICU worlds since 2009, however she has also been working alongside head coach Lisa with our worlds team since 2017.  In 2019, she coached ICU Team Scotland Senior Pom and Champion Dance & Cheer – Senior Black World’s team – 7th and 6th in the World! Over the past few years, she has been working with Scottish event producers judging at their events and recently obtained her ICU Performance Cheer Qualification and Judges Qualification.  Jenni has previously been the Team Scotland manager and is now the Junior Pom Coach.

SCOTT MCCORMACK

Tumbling & Gymnastics Coach

Scott has involved in gymnastics for 14 years and is a World Cup 2016 Champion.  He has been the Scottish tumbling Champion and been ranked 6th in Britain.  Scott has been part of team GB as well as Robert Hamiltons performance troupe.  Scott has been training to coach cheer at CDC to compliment his gymnastics coaching and he is enjoying the challenge of a new sport.  |Scott was the Team Scotland 2019 gymnastics coach and really excelled the skills of the cheer team..

JADE WHITELAW

Supply Coach

Jade is an integral part of our team covering classes on a regular basis. Jade has been participating in allstar cheer and dance since 2000 and has been a part of CDC for 11 years. Alongside being an athlete, she started assistant coaching in 2017 before coaching her first team in 2019.   Jades favourite style of dance is pom and has been a member of Senior Black for 10 years, competing at USASF dance worlds for the past 6 years. Jade has represented her country at the ICU worlds 5 times and was chosen to be part of the first national unified Team Scotland Pom team in 2018 followed by 2019 and 2020. During the 2020 season Jade was a member of the first adaptive abilities Pom team and was voted vice captain of adaptive abilities and nominated for the Steve Walls veteran of the year award which was a big honour. “Dance and cheer is a huge part of my life and I am so grateful for my CDC family and the amazing opportunities I have had with my team!”

LUCY KERR

Tiny Tot/ lyrical Coach

Lucy Kerr is our Tiny Tot Instructor and one of our most loved team members, Lucy passes on her passion for dance and cheer to our youngest members and helps build their confidence and social skills.  Lucy has been coaching at Champion Dance and Cheer for 6 years and has competed with us for 13 years. Lucy has trained in Gymnastics and Dance her whole life and was a former trampolining champion.  Lucy has competed as Team Scotland & CDC at Worlds multiple times. Fun fact -  Lucy was crowned Miss Scotland 2016-17 our own real life CDC beauty queen that all our athletes admire for her poise, kindness and many charitable projects.

MICHELLE LAVERTY

Cheer/Lyrical Coach

Michelle has been a member of CDC for 18 years and started assisting 10 years ago before coaching her first official team 6 years ago.  Michelle competed in the first ever Team Scotland junior cheer team in 2008 & has subsequently  competed at Worlds 6 times. Michelle has been part of senior black for 10 years and has been captain of the team since 2018, She was also senior pom captain for 2019 Team Scotland team. Michelle was honored to voted for the Steve walls award for veteran of the year 2018-2019 season ! Michelle has taken part in film and TV appearances & also performed at various events such as the Scottish cup final.  This season marks her first experience as coach of the national pom team. “Cheerleading and CDC is a huge part of myself and my families life and I absolutely adore the sport"

EILIDH HAMILTON

Cheer/Lyrical Coach

Eilidh has a vast experience in all styles of dance throughout her life and has been cheering since she was a young child.  She has been involved in Cheer since 2004.  Eilidh has competed at Worlds 6 times.  Eilidh assisted coaching Junior Team Scotland Pom in 2016 before taking on a co coaching job with the team in 2017 and 2018 helped them successfully place 5th in the world.  Eilidh will be part of the Team Scotland Cheer coaching team for 2022.

ROBYN BLACK

Hip Hop/Jazz/Hip Hop Coach

Robyn has been at CDC for 14 years and has trained separately in gymnastics and hip hop Robyn has competed at USASF Worlds three times and also was a flyer in the first junior team Scotland cheer.  Robyn has also gained many street dance titles such as Scottish, British and even World UDO street dance Champion.  Robyn is coaching the Senior Hip Hop Team Scotland national Team for the first time this year.

CAITLIN CUNNINGHAM

Recreational Cheer & Dance Coach

Caitlin joined CDC 15 years ago as a tiny and was one of our first ever athletes.  Caitlin joined the coaching staff on an assistant basis 3 years ago and now works with our recreational athletes introducing them to all aspects of the sport.  Caitlin Competed at worlds 2016 -17 and was on the first CDC hip hop team at worlds.

ALLANA HENRY

Hip Hop/Jazz Coach

Allana Studied dance at Anniesland college and Gained HND in Dance. After graduating she went on to travel the world performing professionally in Dubai, Bahrain, Romania, Germany, Ibiza Spain and across the U.K. And Ireland. Credits include supporting the world famous One Direction, Olly Murrs, David Hasslehoff and Rylan Clarke.   Allana also has credentialed in level 1 and 2 USASF CHEER as well as Hip Hop. Previously competing at the world USAs dance championships in Florida USA from 2006-2016, Allana then choreographed Team Scotland Hip Hop for 3 years and earned a 4th place in 2019.  Allana is now a Permanent hip hop and commercial coach and choreographer at Champion Dance and Cheer.
Throughout her cheer career she has been a professional cheerleader/dancer for the rockettes NBL Team and also for ACDC Pro dance performing at Celtic, Rangers and for the SFA at cup finals.
